Governor's Aide on Youth Matters Unveils "Pastor Umo Eno Senior School Challenge 1.0" in Obot Akara

The Personal Assistant to the Governor on Youth Affairs and Founder of the Grassroots Literacy Advancement Programme (GLAP), Comrade Amama Aloysius has unveiled the PST. Umo Eno Senior School Challenge 1.0, a grassroots educational initiative designed to promote academic excellence, critical thinking and responsible citizenship among secondary school students (young voters).

Scheduled for November, 2026, the maiden edition will feature debate, capacity building, prizes and Governor’s Special Gift.

With the theme, “ARISE for Excellence: The Role of Young Voters in Building the Future,” the initiative seeks to equip young people with the knowledge, confidence and leadership skills required to contribute meaningfully to society while promoting the values and development aspirations of the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, Ph.D., Governor of Akwa Ibom State in education advancement.

Beyond academic competition, the project reflects a strategic commitment to grassroots mobilization, youth empowerment and the development of future leaders. It also provides an opportunity to stimulate intellectual engagement, encourage informed civic participation, reduce voter apathy and celebrate emerging talents across Obot Akara.

The project invites government institutions, corporate organisations, educational stakeholders, philanthropists and community leaders to partner  in making this edition impactful and sustainable.
