The Executive Chairman of Eastern Obolo Local Government Area, Hon. Samuel Nteogwuijah, has declared the council's total support for the re-election bid of Governor Umo Eno, President Bola Tinubu, and Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, stating that the governor has moved beyond the empty promises of past administrations to deliver tangible, life-changing infrastructure to the once-neglected riverine communities.
He made this declaration on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Okoroette during the official inauguration of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, Eastern Obolo Chapter.
Nteogwuijah expressed profound gratitude for the administration’s intervention, noting that the governor has constructed seven compassionate homes across the ten wards of the area, in addition to the ongoing construction of several roads within the area.
The Chairman, who also highlighted some of his administration's achievements, lamented that for nearly three decades, the council headquarters operated from a dilapidated health centre.
He revealed that the council has now embarked on the construction of a 74-office secretariat to relocate to a permanent site, asserting that the local government will not disappoint the All Progressives Congress in the general elections.
Setting the tone for the inauguration, the International Coordinator of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, Sir Udo Kirian, described the event as a strategic masterstroke for grassroots mobilisation aimed at securing continuity in governance beyond 2027.
He emphasised that the movement is designed to consolidate the achievements of President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno.
In his goodwill message, the newly inaugurated Chairman of the Advisory Council, Aboh Oduyok, described the trio of Tinubu, Akpabio, and Eno as visionary leaders whose policies have brought renewed economic and infrastructural hope to the state and nation.
Political stakeholders who spoke during the inauguration reaffirmed their total commitment to the re-election of the three political leaders.
The high point of the event was the formal inauguration of the chapter executive and the advisory committee.
