Earlier today at the campaign office, the PDP Chairmanship Candidate for Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Hon. (Elder) Aniefiok Nkom in the company of the Restoration Campaign Team geared by the DG, Rt. Hon. Nsikak Ekong met with all the Ward Chairmen, Councillorship Candidates and their Campaign Director Generals (DGs) in Ikot Ekpene LGA, to strategize and strengthen their structures for effective campaign activities towards the overall success of PDP in the forthcoming elections.
Other notable dignitaries in the campaign entourage were: Obonganwan Abigail Akpan (PDP Vice Chairmanship Candidate), Obong Godswill Akpan (Deputy DG), Hon. David Umanah (Secretary), Hon. John Cleton Etim, (Chairman Ikot Ekpene Transition Committee), Mr. Unyime Thomas Akpan (Vice Chairman Ikot Ekpene Transition Committee), Mr. Idorenyin Okon (Ikot Ekpene PDP Chapter Chairman), Mr. Favour Otong (Political Leader Akisiec Ward 5), Elder Daniel Obot (Political Leader Akisiec Ward 9), Mr. Aniefiok Ekarika (Political Leader Ward Akisiec Ward 11) and Barr. Ekere Essiet (Pioneer Legal Adviser of PDP Ikot Ekpene Chapter and former Secretary of the Council).
The DG for Restoration Campaign Team, Rt. Hon. Nsikak Ekong in his address, intimated all the Ward Chairmen, Councillorship Candidates and their DGs to go back to the grassroot and mobilize electorates to vote massively for PDP. He echoed that we shouldn't relent because all votes will be counted, recorded and announced accordingly in the units and at the ward collation centers. He added that PDP will win convincingly through strategic sensitization and mobilization at the ward level.
Elder Nkom in his response thanked the leadership of ward campaign committees for their cooperation and dedication so far.
He reminded the forum that he will run an inclusive government where everyone will be treated importantly and given fair opportunity to showcase their ideas, skills and potentials for self empowerment and development of the land. He assured that with his leadership, the first (Ikot Ekpene) will become the best, in line with the campaign slogan (Restoration 2024).
The Vice Chairmanship Candidate, Obonganwan Abigail Akpan took her turn to enlighten the ward campaign committee leaders on what is expected of them to record a landslide victory in the forthcoming elections. She gave vote of thanks and also led in the closing prayers.
