The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Akwa Ibom State Branch has signed a partnership deal with the Akwa Ibom State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) over the planned Akwa Ibom 2027 Election Debate organized by the NUJ, assuring that the Nigerian Society of Engineers will joined force with the planning committee to ensure a successful hosting of the much anticipated debate.
In a partnership meeting between the NSE and the Debate Planning Committee held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, the NSE Chairman, Engr. Francis Uwah, FNSE, said the NSE is in for the debate and will be fully involved in the planning process, noting that the NSE is excited to be part of the Debate and therefore thanked the NUJ for giving the body the opportunity to be part of the 2027 Election Debate as partners.
While signing the partnership deal, Uwah assured that the Engineering body will bring their professional expertise to bear in the planning and execution of the Debate project.
On his part, the Chairman of the Debate Planning Committee, Comrade Ndanti Ekuh described the partnership with NSE as technical, stressing that with Engineers in the planning process, the Debate will not only be successful but technically grounded.
He stressed that a level playing ground will be provided for all candidates in the debate, and further disclosed that the Debate committee is ready to commence issuance of invitation letters to candidates from Thursday, October 1.
