Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District is set to hold a street solidarity prayer on Thursday, October 1, 2026, in honour of the President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, while seeking divine intervention for peace, unity and the success of leaders across Akwa Ibom State.
The gathering, tagged “Ikot Ekpene Street Solidarity Prayers for Peace, Unity, and the Success of Our Leaders,” is scheduled to take place at Ikot Ekpene Plaza by 2pm, with stakeholders, residents and invited guests from across the Senatorial District expected to participate.
The organisers said the prayer would provide an opportunity for people of the district to collectively seek the face of God on behalf of leaders at various levels, with prayers for wisdom, strength, protection and divine guidance in the discharge of their responsibilities.
They said the event would also demonstrate the solidarity of the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District with its leaders, particularly Senator Akpabio, while offering prayers for the continued peace, unity, progress and development of Akwa Ibom State.
According to the organisers, collective prayers and unity are important to building a peaceful and prosperous society, urging residents, stakeholders and invited guests across the Senatorial District to join the gathering.
The organisers therefore call on citizens to participate in the solidarity prayer, which will focus on peace and unity in Akwa Ibom, the success of its leaders and special prayers in honour of Senator Akpabio.
The Ikot Ekpene Street Solidarity Prayers will hold on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 2pm at Ikot Ekpene Plaza, with the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District inviting residents and stakeholders to join in the prayer for the state and its leadership.
