Watch Niniola's Vibrant "Level" Video to Celebrate Her Ten Years of Music

Niniola is celebrating ten years in the music business with her current single, "Level," which was released in March. She isn't stopping there; she has released the music video for the tune.

Niniola gained notoriety in 2013 after placing third in the sixth season of Project West Africa. 2014 saw the release of her breakthrough single, "Ibadi," riding that momentum. Niniola cemented her success in 2017 with the smash hit "Maradona," which was nominated for a 2018 BET Award and SAMA Award.

In an incredible turn of events, “Maradona” transcended borders in 2019 when sections of the song were sampled in Beyoncé’s “Find Your Way Back” on the soundtrack album “The Lion King: The Gift.” 

Niniola is listed as one of the composers and songwriters of the song as well.

Niniola's efforts on "The Lion King: The Gift" earned her a Grammy nomination certificate in June 2021, and the Recording Academy acknowledged her achievements that same month. She was also admitted into the Grammy Recording Academy Class of 2021.

As the Queen of Afrohouse, Niniola's reign is still going strong. "Maradona" received a Gold certification from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA) in July 2021. The good news didn't stop there: in January 2023, RISA upgraded "Maradona" to Platinum status in South Africa.

“Level” was produced by Niphkeys and Nektunez, and Kemz directed the video.
