Ajebo Hustlers, a well-known musical group, has advised Nigerian musicians to master the craft of creating "great music with depth."
The pair added that they should take a cue from Omah Lay, claiming that some Nigerian musicians lack perspective.
On their X handle, Ajebo Hustlers wrote: “Y’all need to learn how to make great music with depth!! Learn from Omah Lay!! Ask yourself..what will Omah lay say if he hopped on this record!!! Cause y’all lack perspective!! Y’all absolutely lack what to talk about and that sh!t boring as hell!!”
They did concede, though, that some gifted musicians are "dumbing down" their originality in order to win over followers who enjoy mediocrity.
“Real artistes are trying to dumb down to gain relevance!!! Cause Na mediocrity una love,” they wrote.
