The second edition of the Street Party, a celebration in honour of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, is set to hold on October 1, 2026, at Ikot Ekpene Plaza in Akwa Ibom State.
Lady Edu Offong, convener of the Godswill Akpabio Ambassadors, is organising the event under the theme, “An Iconic Celebration of an Uncommon Leadership & Legacy.”
The event is coming months after the maiden edition held in December 2025 at the Maitama area of Ewet Housing Estate in Uyo, where thousands of residents gathered to celebrate Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno.
At the maiden edition, five beneficiaries received ₦500,000 each from Offong to support their businesses.
Offong had said the gathering was organised in the spirit of Christmas and to celebrate leaders she described as a blessing to the people. She described Akpabio as a benefactor and father figure, while commending Governor Eno for what she described as his peace driven and development focused leadership.
The October 1 event, tagged “Season 2”, is expected to feature another gathering of residents and supporters as the organisers celebrate what they describe as Akpabio’s uncommon leadership and legacy.
