The member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement, Rep. Unyime Idem, PhD, has donated 150 brand new Hewlett-Packard (HP) laptop computers to 150 young constituents, after sponsoring their training on Digital Marketing & E-business Development.
He also empowered the trainees with cash grants after the all-expense paid training, which covered hotel accommodation and three-square meals for the entire training period.
Delivering his closing remarks at the end of the training, Rep. Idem, represented by a former member of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Sunday Okoko, reiterated that the training and empowerment programme was to equip the trainees with the requisite skill set to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.
According to Idem, "you have been adequately trained in digital marketing strategies, online branding, social media business management, e-commerce operations and other aspects of e-business development, to establish and grow sustainable online businesses. Take advantage of the opportunities offered by this training and make great impact."
Rep. Idem thanked Oldbosom Nigeria Limited, for training the participants and empowering them with valuable skills, expressing the hope that the investment will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the trainees and the constituency.
In his closing remarks, the Managing Director, Oldbosom Nigeria Limited, Mr. Michael Adewole, praised the trainees for their attentiveness and involvement in the course of the exercise, stressing that the skills acquired will open doors to new opportunities, enhance employability, and foster innovation.
In their separate reactions, the beneficiaries expressed immense gratitude to Rep. Idem for sponsoring the training, promising to deploy the skills gained profitably for life sustenance.
