Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative Inaugurates Chapters in ONNA, Ibeno, Eket, Rallies Support for 2027

The Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative has inaugurated its Chapters  Executives and Advisory Councils in ONNA, Ibeno and Eket Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State to drive grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration ceremonies were held on Wednesday at the council halls of the three Local Government Areas, attracting political stakeholders, Party leaders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Participants at the events reaffirmed their loyalty to Governor Umo Eno, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and President Bola Tinubu, assuring that the people of the Areas would deliver overwhelming support for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

President General of the Initiative, Engr. Uwem Okoko, said the enthusiasm shown by the people reflected their appreciation of the dividends of governance under the current administrations.

He assured that the group's message to Governor Eno — adopting him as their sole candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial election — would be conveyed, adding that the initiative would also mobilise support for President Tinubu and Senate President Akpabio.

Earlier, the International Coordinator of the group, Sir Udo Kierian Akpan, explained that the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative was established to support the reelection of Governor Eno for a second term, describing it as a political culture that had sustained continuity in governance in the State.

Akpan noted that the idea was inspired by the political mentorship of former Governor Udom Emmanuel, who encouraged strategic mobilisation platforms to consolidate political support.

ONNA Chapter

At ONNA, speakers including the Commissioner for Finance, Emem Bob, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ekerette Udoh, Youth Leader Tony Ekpo, Women Leader Inyene Bassey, former Council Chairman, Iniabasi Ekanem, APC Chapter Chairman - Tom Nkanang and former House of Representatives member Owoidighe Ekpoattai, assured that the area would maintain its tradition of delivering victory for APC candidates.

Coordinator of the ONNA Chapter and Chairman of Council, Friday Ben, in his acceptance speech, pledged to unite party faithful and intensify grassroots mobilisation to ensure the reelection of President Tinubu, Governor Eno and other APC candidates.

Ibeno Chapter

At Ibeno, the Council Chairman, Glory Ekah who also accepted the role of Chapter Coordinator, said the people of the Area were fully prepared to mobilise voters to support the reelection of Governor Eno to enable him complete the implementation of his ARISE Agenda for the State.

Eket Chapter

During the inauguration of the Eket Chapter Executive and Advisory Council, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Frank Archibong and other stakeholders, said the people of Eket remained loyal to the administration of Governor Eno.

They expressed confidence that the Area would strongly support the reelection of the Governor, President Tinubu and Senate President Akpabio in 2027.

Coordinator of the Eket Chapter, Akaninyene Tommey, pledged that members of the Executive would faithfully pursue the mandate of the initiative by mobilising voters to ensure victory for all APC candidates in the next general elections.

The inauguration also featured the formal presentation of members of the ONNA Advisory Council, Eket Chapter Executive and Advisory Council, as well as Ward Coordinators and Executives in Eket Local Government Area.
