The city of Ikot Ekpene came alive with innovation and creative engagement on Saturday as Clean Man Car Wash and Hangout commenced its much-anticipated podcast show titled “Cleanman Desk.”
The maiden edition of the podcast, held at the award-winning dance bar, was designed to address critical issues that directly affect society, using dialogue and expert insights to drive public awareness.
The debut episode focused on the theme “Causes of Road Traffic Accidents, Effects and Preventive Measures.”
The session was hosted by Wisdom Thompson and featured seasoned professionals as guest speakers, including Officer Chijioke, Head of Operations, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ikot Ekpene Unit Command, and Engr. David Sunday, a seasoned safety professional.
During the discussion, the speakers extensively examined the major causes of road traffic accidents, highlighting human factors, infrastructural deficiencies, and mechanical failures as key contributors. They also emphasized practical preventive measures aimed at reducing road crashes and improving safety for all road users.
The interactive session attracted active participation, with questions and contributions coming from both the physical audience and online listeners, reflecting strong public interest in the initiative.
According to the organizers, Clean Man Desk is envisioned as a sustained podcast platform that will continue to host enlightening conversations on societal, safety, and developmental issues affecting the community and beyond.
