UYO is about to come alive with an explosion of sound, laughter, and street vibes as Mixx 88.7 FM, the South-South’s most vibrant music radio station, rolls out the drums for its 4th anniversary celebration, and it’s going to be nothing short of spectacular!
Tagged “Mixxalization: The 4-PLAY,” the Mega Street Party is slated for December 5, 2025, at the Tropicana Parking Lot, Uyo, and promises to be the biggest open-air entertainment experience Akwa Ibom has ever seen.
At a media parley held at the Mixx FM, Shelter Afrique, Uyo the Station Manager, Revkan (a.k.a. K-Money), this year’s edition will push the boundaries of creativity and production value, blending the best of music, comedy, and culture into one unforgettable night.
Expect jaw-dropping performances from Fiokee, Disasta, Imeh Bishop Okon Lagos, Aldo Shady, J Tapa, Adams Unusual, DJ Dolliepopman, DJsanto Johnson, Mayana, and Upper X Ekpenyong, with dance troupes like the SDC Dancers set to keep the crowd grooving till dawn.
K-Money also revealed that Mixx FM will be unleashing its state-of-the-art sound system, the same one that wowed fans at the Bole Festival and even earned high praise from Nigerian pop star Joeboy, who described th show as “the best live sound in Nigeria.”
To make the celebration even bigger, the entire event will be broadcast live on Mixx 88.7 FM, connecting fans across and beyond Akwa Ibom in real time.
Speaking on the vision behind the event, DJ Dollie Popman opman, veteran DJ and host of Top Naija 10 series, said the Mega Street Party reflects Mixx FM’s commitment to empowering local talent and celebrating homegrown creativity.
He confirmed that Ibom Air will return as the headline sponsor, with talks ongoing to bring more corporate partners on board to amplify the festival’s reach.
DJ Dolliepopman emphasized that the event remains open to everyone as part of Mixx FM’s corporate social responsibility drive.
“Our goal is to create opportunities for young people in Akwa Ibom,” he said. “You don’t have to move to Lagos or Abuja to make it. We’re building a platform right here — and this is our way of saying thank you to the community that has supported us.”
