Nigerian music sensation Adekunle Gold has won over hearts all throughout the nation by giving N250,000 to a number of first-class graduates.
On July 16, 2025, the artist started the kind act by urging accomplished grads
to post their transcripts on X (previously Twitter). He responded, "If you
graduated with First class, post your transcripts," which prompted a rush
of replies from others who were excited to highlight their academic
accomplishments.
Adekunle Gold reviewed the submissions
and selected several first-class graduates to receive the monetary reward. Soon after, social media was inundated with
screenshots of passionate thank-you notes and bank alerts, with many people
calling the action "life-changing."
Post your transcripts if you received first class honors.
His letter alluded to a sad recollection from 2015, when he played at OAU with
few songs and, because of technical issues, largely repeated his popular song
Sade. Students allegedly stormed his hotel, jeered him, and confiscated a
portion of his performance fee as the performance came to a bad end.
Notwithstanding that unpleasant history, the musician has received a lot of
appreciation for his most recent deed of generosity, which demonstrates his
dedication to praising and encouraging academic achievement in Nigeria.
