Nigerian singer Davido and Jamaican reggae legend Vybez Kartel will be the main acts at the 2025 Summerjam Festival, which will take place in Germany from June 4–6, 2025.
A year after Burna Boy, the Grammy winner, took center stage at the festival,
Davido will be taking over.
In addition to other dancehall and reggae performers, the 2025 edition will
feature Jamaican artists Morgan Heritage, Beenie Man, and Beenie Man.
The five-time Grammy nominee's 2025 is off to a hectic start as she recently revealed a new tune called "Be There Still," which will be released on March 15.
The album is scheduled for release on April 18, and the song will be his final release. "5ive" will contain 17 tracks, the same amount as all four of his previously released albums.
Ahead of the album release, Davido has released two tracks 'Awuke' featuring Jamaican Dancehall sensation YG Marley and 'Funds' featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck.
The hitmaker called his upcoming album "straight from the heart" in
the social media post announcing it.
It's also anticipated that "5ive" would have a collaboration with
Nigerian sensation Omah Lay, who stated in an interview that the song is the
ideal pairing.
Following in the
footsteps of his record-breaking fourth album, "Timeless," Davido and
his fans can anticipate a potential cameo appearance on the album, which
Adekunle Gold just hinted about.
Davido will compete at the 17th Headies in six categories, including Artist of
the Year, prior to his main performance at the Summerjam Festival in Germany.
