As the yuletide season draws near, Glimpse Charity Foundation; organisers of Mr and Miss Akwa Ibom Beauty Pageant 2024" is unto the next one with the official unveiling of its theme for the 3rd edition.
The Press Conference and unveiling which was held yesterday, 25th October, 2024 at Akwa Ibom State Hotels Management and Tourism Board, Ewet housing estate, Uyo, had captain of industries, CEOs of companies and members of the press all in attendance.
The unveiling which was aimed at informing the general public activities of this year's edition such as commencement of sales of form, registration deadline, date for the event, and other activities that will be revolving round the event.
In her address, the CEO of Glimpse Charity Foundation, Mrs Precious Edet appreciates the Tourism friendly governor, Pastor (Dr.) Uno Bassey Eno, the Honourable commissioner for Culture and Tourism; Sir Charles Udo and the articulated Chairman of Akwa Ibom State Hotels Management and Tourism Board; Mr. Ini Akpabio.
She later went ahead to thank members of her team who had over the years stood by her and the foundation during the first and second editions of the event.
While acknowledging partners for the 3rd edition, Mrs Precious thanked the Patron of Glimpse Charity Foundation, Mr. Cletus Edet who according to her is the backbone of the foundation.
The chairman of Akwa Ibom State Hotels Management and Tourism Board; Mr. Ini Akpabio while giving his remark added that the tourism board is in full support of the 3rd edition of the event and added that what ever they did in the 1st and 2nd edition, they will double it in the 3rd edition.
When asked what is the star prize, the CEO responded that the star prize for "Mr and Miss Akwa Ibom Beauty Pageant 2024" a a brand new Car.
The President of Pageant Organizers Forum, Akwa Ibom State, Melford Asuquo who was also in attendance at the unveiling, commended the CEO of Glimpse Charity Foundation for her consistency and added that, Pageant Organizers Community in the state has pledged their support for the success of the event come 30th December, 2024.
According to the press release, Miss Akwa Ibom 2024 will announce Akwa Ibom State Government, Capital Luxury, Memories Fm, Brando Coin as official partners other Telecommunication Network operating in Uyo the capital city as the event is in collaboration with Akwa Ibom State Hotels Management and Tourism Board.
Also in attendance was Lupi9jaBlog Publicist, GbeduXclusive head of content, Inside Akwa Ibom content editor, Xcel Fm correspondent, NTA crew, Comfort Fm, Pioneer Newspaper, CEO of Memories Fm; Deac. Ubong Essien, Capital Luxury representative and other members of the press.
The press conference ended with the unveiling of the theme: "Redefining Beauty through Pageantry" as highpoints of the press conference was photo session with the organizers, partners and members of the press.
