World Malaria Day 2024: Queen Tabitha Mbong holds Prevention Awareness Campaign, Distributes Malaria Relief Materials


On Friday 3rd May, 2024; Face of Valentine Humanity; Queen Tabitha Mbong led her pageant crew to her home town; Ikot Ibiok Village in Eket Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State for a Malaria Prevention Awareness Campaign to mark this year's "World Malaria Day".

Queen Tabitha was accompanied by her head Queen, Face of Valentine 2024; Queen Blessing Udoh aka Queen Cyndy and her creative director, Mfonobong Robson who happened to be the moderator 

In his opening remark, the Village head; His Royal Highness; Obong Charles Eno thanked the Pageant Organization and their daughter Queen Tabitha for bringing such a life touching project to Ikot Ibiok Village, and said that charity begins at home. 


He also added that for her to have her village at heart, God will stand by her throughout her tenure as Face of Valentine Humanity.

The campaign which featured talk show by various speakers who spoke on malaria prevention, treatment and control had in attendance, the Village Head of Ikot Ibiok and Clan Head elect, Eket Offiong Clan; His Royal Highness; Obong Charles Eno, Village Head of Idung Udofia Family; Chief Sunday Udofia, Rtd. Capt. Sam Unam Akwaowo, Village Secretary; Elder Umoudi Etukudo Essien, Women Leader; Obonganwan Elizabeth Etentuk and the Youths Leader; Mr. Albert Monday Bassey all in attendance. 

One of the speaker; Mrs. Augusta Mbong; Mother of the host while speaking, added that drinking of water can also help in the prevention of malaria as it will go along way in making you urinate some of the bacteria.

Others who also spoke at the campaign was Nurse Bridget Emmanuel and Mr. Edidiong Aniefiok.



Queen Cyndy was later introduced as she highlighted some of the mission and vision statements of the pageant organization which was followed by Queen Tabitha who later talked about the effects of Malaria in Children and stressed the need for pregnant women to take precautionary measures towards prevention before, during and after child birth.

Also in attendance was Queen Andifon Umoh; Miss Obot Akara, Father of the host; Mr. Sunday Mbong; Village Chairman of Idung Udo Atara Village and other members of the village council.



Vote of thank was done by Capt. Sam Unam Akwaowo as highpoint of the campaign was free distribution of treated mosquito nets, mosquito coils and free medical check up.

The campaign ended in Glory as members of the village council and other villagers prayed for God's protection for the entire Face of Valentine Organization crew. 

This initiative was however supporter by: Eddytech Foundation, Capior Children's Haven Foundation, Ibom Mum, Prince Charles Archibong Life Foundation, Face of Valentine Pageant Organization, Ikot Ibiok Village Council and Adiahabong Foundation.
