Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah has announced the formation of BRS Studios, a new production business he co-founded with filmmaker Joy Odiete and management Chris Odeh.
“I humbly present to you a collaboration like no other, of myself, @chrisodeh and @joyodiete to birth BRS studios!! We are taking storytelling to the next level and widening our horizons as we set new records. The Goal has always been to tell great African stories on a global scale and with BRS, the dream will be achieved!” he wrote in a post on Instagram on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
BRS Studios was formed by the merger of Blue Pictures Distribution, Ramsey Films, and Sozo Films.
The premier distributor of films in Nigeria, Blue Pictures, claims to have as its primary goal bringing films of all genres and from all regions to the developing markets in Africa and around the world.
According to its own description, Ramsey Films is an indigenous, high-caliber content production firm that specializes in using novel ideas and cutting-edge techniques to make outstanding films with regional content for the international market.
Sozo Films is renowned for its creative methods in managing and producing motion pictures.
Shocking claims that this Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Venture will only be used for unique projects that will be revealed soon and is not a merger of the three companies.
The SPV says it wants to raise the bar in the film-making process by expanding all value chain components, developing fresh, creative, and reliable frameworks to guarantee sustainability, and, finally, pushing Nollywood and African cinema to new heights. This is according to a statement released by the group.
