Check Out the Whole Cast of "Finding Me," the Upcoming Film Starring Funke Akindele

Funke Akindele, a director and actress from Nigeria, has unveiled the cast of her upcoming movie, Finding Me.

Every day from May 14, 2024, until May 28, 2024, Akindele shared reels on her Instagram that included the cast.

Ariyo Oluwakemisola Apesin, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Calabar Chic, Emeka Nwagbaraocha, Akindele, Abdulgafar Abiola (Cute Abiola), Omowunmi Dada, Efa Iwara, Tina Mbai, Dele Odule, Sharon Ooja Egwurube, Shaffy Bello, Omoni Oboli, Femi Adebayo, and Joseph Benjamin are among the cast members that she has so far disclosed. With its cast of well-known actors, the movie may end up being another smash hit when it premieres. 

A few weeks ago, she launched the campaign with a transitional video that included several of the actors from the movie's Finding Me t-shirt.

The precise release date and content of the movie are still unknown, though.

The next film is being produced by Akindele's production company, The Funke Akindele Network (FAAN).

Akindele used the hashtag "Been long you saw Jenifa!!!!" to tease her upcoming film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, which is a spin-off of the Jenifa franchise and would be released in December 2024, months ago.

Nigerian director Akindele is a master of the screen; he produced the critically acclaimed Jenifa series and the nation's highest-grossing picture, A Tribe Called Judah, which brought in over ₦1.4 billion.

She is also the director of Battle on Buka Street, the second-highest grossing movie in Nigeria with a total of ₦668 million, and Omo Ghetto: The Saga, the third-highest with ₦636 million.

With five wins, including Best Actress in a Comedy, The Return of Sheri Koko (2014), Jenifa's Diary (2016), Best Actress in a Comedy Movie or TV Series (2017), Best Actress in a Comedy, 2020, and Omo Ghetto: The Saga (2022)—Akindele is the most honored actress at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
