The SEC Awards have nominated award-winning musician Wizkid for Best International Male Artist. Alongside Bad Bunny, Travis Scott, Jimin, Troye Sivan, Jung Kook, The Weekend, and Zayn, he was also nominated. The SEC Awards are a Brazilian film and music industry award. Jung Kook won the International Male Artist award in 2023. Voting began on April 26, 2024.
Wizkid recently played his hit song Essence at Coachella 2024 alongside Justin Beiber and Tems, in addition to receiving his nomination. After being taken aback by the unexpected arrival on stage, Coachella 2024 attendees were ecstatic about their experience on day two.
This marked both Justin Bieber's and Wizkid's debut performances in 2024 on a significant US stage. On April 18, 2024, Wizkid was also seen in the recording studio with Justin Bieber.
