On April 4, 2024, the executive committee of the Akwa Ibom Female Students Association (AIFSA) led by embarked on a significant courtesy visit to the Director of the Gender-Based Violence Unit, Barrister Emem Ette.
During the meeting, the committee expressed their ernest need for a legal adviser to support thier association's endeavors and its affairs.
According to Comrade Happiness; the essence of their quest for a legal adviser stemmed from the association's desire to have someone who could resonate deeply with the experiences and struggles faced by women, particularly those related to motherhood.
They also emphasized the importance of having a legal practitioner who will not only possess legal expertise but also understand firsthand challenges of motherhood, including the rigors of childbirth and nurturing a child.
After careful consideration, the committee found a perfect match in Barrister Emem Ette. Her dedication to championing the rights of the girl child and her outstanding contributions to addressing gender-based violence made her stand out as an exemplary candidate.
