The growth of musicians who are self-assured in their abilities and willing to share their opinions with listeners from all walks of life has been one of the most encouraging spectacles.
Ruger, a Nigerian pop
artist, is one of these musicians who is a strong advocate of this movement
thanks to his particular melodic vocals and laid-back approach.
The duo perfectly complements one another over a
groovy instrumental created by Choke Boi and Ruger's favorite collaborator,
Kukbeats, over which they are joined by DJ Neptune, one of Nigeria's most
prominent disc jockeys, record producers, and Afropop's biggest lodestars whose
most recent release dominated charts throughout the country and beyond.
Ruger and his new love interest both compliment one
other on the woman's beauty and personality, and the woman replies in both
French and Spanish with "Bienvenue," which means "welcome."
