According to Dr. UN in an interview on Pure FM, popular Ghanaian Rapper Black Sherif would no longer be considered an artist in Ghana after five years in the music business.
After
five years, Ghanaians will be tired of Black Sherif's music, the personality
claims, and they will stop supporting him, just like they have done with the
majority of the country's performers.
He
continued by equating the upcoming artist to Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie,
adding that the latter has been reliable for more than 10 years, which puts him
apart from the competition.
In his proposal, Dr. UN also mentioned that Black
Sherif had been approached by several people for the coveted award but is not
big enough to accept it.
The Black Sheriff is convinced that this will never
happen and that the award will only be handed to him if he can continue to be
successful in the music business after five years.
Online ire from many Ghanaians have been directed
towards Dr. UN for his remarks regarding Black Sheriff.
They called the Ghanaian celebrity names and claimed that although he did not deserve to be well-known, Ghanaians had a tendency to elevate those of less significance to fame.
