IBOM ENTERTAINMENT WEEK 2022 ENDS IN GRAND STYLE 

... AS ENTERTAINERS EXTOL UDOM, ENDORSE UMO ENO

The Ibom Unity Concert held on Sunday, September 18 at Water Fountain on Nwaniba road by 4-lanes drew the curtains of the weeklong Ibom Entertainment Week 2022, by parading some of the best homegrown talents to thrill the crowd of fun seekers. 

On the opening ceremony, entertainers drawn from the 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom state, under the auspices of Ibom Entertainers Forum, passed a vote of confidence on the state governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, for his legacies in the industry under his two-term tenure. 

The vote of confidence was passed on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Ibom Tropicana, following a well attended road show and concert to kick start the 2nd edition of the annual weeklong Ibom Entertainment Week. 

Mr Sergeant, in company of the chairman of the planning committee, Godfada Uko, led members of Ibom Entertainers Forum, the biggest umbrella body of the entertainment sector in the state, to embark on a solidarity march from Ibom Plaza to Tropicana.

The Governor in his remark, as delivered by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Rt. Honourable Orman Esin, presented Pastor Umo Eno (the People's Democratic Party Gubernatorial candidate) to the entertainers, describing him as an entertainer, owing to his years of experiences in hospitality and tourism, which entertainment falls under. 

Mr Esin said that if Governor Udom Emmanuel could do this much, entertainers can be rest assured that by this endorsement and their support, Pastor Umo Eno will do more, because he is one of them. The CEO of indigenous construction company, HENSEK Integrated, Engr Uwem Okoko announced a surprise 2 Million naira support to pad the 2 Million Naira donated by Pastor Umo Eno. 

The elated Pastor Eno confessed his wish to have a tet-a-tet with talents in the state, which will give him more time to enable him be abreast of the industry. Also present were during the week's events were the senator representing Eket Senatorial District and Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Akon Eyakenyi, Engr. Wisdom Enang (the youngest fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers) the Special Assistant to Governor on Talent Hunt, Mr Emmanuel Owuala, PDP standard bearer for Uruan State Constituency, Dr. Itoro Etim, veteran nollywood stars, Francis Duru, Victor Osuagu, Eve Esin and popular Lagos based comedian and content creator, MC Mbakara. 

Other events in the week included the Face of Entertainment 2022, where Miss Divine Timothy emerged at the Royal Rumble, the Ibom Entertainment Roundtable, Creative Masterclass and Thanksgiving Service.
