The
Psalmists is a revival of the dreams of two brothers who wanted to sing to
God's glory in their teens in the mid-eighties. Patrick and Sylvester Enwere.
The duo played the guitar and keyboards, respectively, but couldn't go beyond
side attractions on some occasions and Christian music competitions. With
experience over the years, stronger spiritual growth, and financial strength,
the two joined up again in 2025 to actualize the dreams of their youth. A lot
of their songs are products of meditation, prayers, and worship of God.
The
song is about the person living in Jesus Christ and talks of what Jesus does in
the lives of those that worship him. Over 80% of the lyrics are taken straight
from the Bible. The title "Greater is he" explains it all. It is not about that. boasting
in or with the Lord, but the actual realization, through experience of the Psalmists, is that Jesus gives us an extraordinary life to overcome the world,
cultivate the resources that are already in the spirit, and join God in bringing
his designs to fulfillment.
LYRICS
We preach Christ crucified
Unto Jews a stumblingblock,
Unto Greeks a foolishness;
But to us, the wisdom of God.
He gives his power to the faint
and to them that have no might
He increases their strength
In his hands is sure victory
So, we will walk and not get weary
We will run and never faint
Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world
He makes his angels spirits
And his ministers flaming fire
He warns the world not to harm us
He reproves kings for our sake
So, we will walk and not get weary
We will run and never faint
Greater is he that is in us
than he that is in the world
But those that wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength
They shall mount up with wings like the eagles. They shall run and not
be weary
Walk and not faint.
Run and not be weary
Walk and never faint
Yeah.
Now, brethren, it's time for us to praise the Lord
Let the world hear and
Let the world know
That we serve a God that's worthy
Sing to the Lord (Praise. Praise)
Chant to the Lord (Praise, praid)
Alleluia praise (Praise, praise).
Sing to the Lord ((Praise, praise)
All his holy ones are at his hands.
They go facedown at his feet
They are lifted up on his wings
And there is no mountain so high.
So, we will walk and not get weary
We will run and never faint
Greater is he that is in us
than he that is in the world
