Arise Youth Summit 2024: Comr Israel Robert Empowered 40 Youths in Fashion Design Training

The Transition Committee Member and Supervisor for Youth And Sports, Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Comr Israel Robert has broken the record as the first Supervisor to empower youths in the area beyond party line.

On Friday 12th July, 2024, youths in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area converged at the prestigious Local Government Council Hall for the much-anticipated and still-talked about "Arise Youth Summit and Empowerment 2024" packaged by office of Supervisor for Youth and Sports which took the entire city by a surprise.

It can be recalled that few days to the Summit, Comr Israel Robert hosted youths structure of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area in his home town, Mbiaso Ward 10, the youth stakeholders meeting was to chat a new course in the Youths Inclusiveness governance of Pastor Umo Eno and to announce the Summit.

While announcing beneficiaries of Empowerment Program at the event, the Honourable Supervisor urged all the beneficiaries and other youths to remain steadfast while supporting the "ARISE ' agenda of the governor.

Comr. Israel also used the opportunity to thank the leadership of Ikot Ekpene Transition Committee headed by the transition Chairman, Hon. Sir John Cleton Etim and the Transition Vice Chairman; Hon Unyimeabasi Akpan for their supports towards the actualization of the summit and for always facilitating his life touching projects.

Also he appreciated the Honourable Commissioner for Labour and Man Power Elder Aniefiok Nkom for his unwavering support and also the grand commander of the youths in Ikot Ekpene Local Government; Engr. Etido Inyang; Chairman Ibom Power for the advice, support and fatherly role played to make the event a huge successful.

The theme for the summit "Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership, A catalyst for Youth and Economic Development had three Guest Speakers; Rev. Uko Michael, Nsukhoridem Akpan and Queen Edidiong Udofia drawn from different sectors of the economy to speak on various topics that centers on community development and youth leadership.

Aparently, the 001 of the youth and General Manager, Akwa Ibom Bulk Purchase Agency; Obong Hon. Unyime Etim who was represented by former leader of the council; Hon. Lawrence Inyang adviced the youths to take this opportunity serious and make the supervisor proud in his efforts to change the narrative of the youth, also Comrade Aniefiok Wilson Iwaudofia, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroot mobilization who was represented by comrade Erasmus appreciated the honourable supervisor for this lovely initiative and promised to work hand in hand with him on Grassroot matters.

In attendance at the summit was the transition Chairman of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Hon. Sir John Cleton and other members of the transition committee led by the honourable supervisor for Works and Housing; Hon. Elder Ubong Equot who also doubles as the Dean, College of Supervisors.

The youth stakeholders was present at the event heavily led by the Dean, Ikot Ekpene Youths Structure; Comr. Etido Inyang (Jnr).

Also in attendance was the DPO, Ikot Ekpene Division who also spent time to give solutions to some security challenges some people are facing in their daily activities, and also adviced the youth presidents of the forty seven (47) villages in Ikot Ekpene to work with the Police as they are always there to help them.
