Lydia Diamond bags "Girl Child Of The Year" Award at "Girl Child Conference 2023"


Saturday 3rd June came alive in Ikot Ekpene; Raffia City (First Local Government in West Africa) as Akwa Ibom Female Youths converge on Ikot Ekpene Council Hall for the biggest female gathering; "Girl Child Conference 2023" organized by "Face of Valentine Pageant Organization" through of the office of the current Queen, HRM Victory Akpan (FOV 2022/2023).



The event had guest speakers drawn within Akwa Ibom State and beyond who gave keynote addresses inline with the theme of the conference "Preparing the Girl Child for Future Realities".


The conference featured, Talkshow, Panel Discussion, stage performances, refreshment, Awards presentation, distribution of relief materials and lots more.

Lydia Michael best known by her facebook handle as Lydia Diamond is a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) holder.



The Lagos based Akwaibomite concluded her Senior Secondary School at All Weather Secondary School and later furthered her Tertiary Institution at Yaba College of Technology where she obtained her National Diploma (ND) Certificate.

It may also interest you to know that Lydia Diamond is a content creator.



She has worked with numerous Nigeria's top content creators such as the likes of Cute Obiola and lots more.

Her passion for humanitarian services and  Girl Child Development got her nominated for "Girl Child of the Year" Award which she eventually became the winner.

As a Girl Child Ambassador, Lydia Diamond is expected to use her new portfolio and give back to the society by executing community and life changing projects hoping to start soon.

Dignitaries that attended the conference was Councillor representing Ikot Ekpene Urban Ward 4, Hon. Iberedem Isonguyo Akpan, Dr. Uyai Akpanobong (Director - Center for Gender Studies, University of Uyo), Mrs. Uyai Dennis (CEO - Sparklez Unisex Salon & Spa), Vice President, Akwa Ibom State Female Students Association, Comr. Blessing Utibe, Secretary, Akwa Ibom State Female Students Association; Comr. Abasi Ibianake, Special Assistant to NAAKISS President Worldwide; Comr. Blessing Godwin, SUG President, Foundation Polytechnic, SUG Vice President - Ritman University; Comr Ruth Cosmos, SUG Vice President - Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic; Comr. Gold and others.


Others who joined the league of Ambassadors are Student of Ritman University; Miracle Okolie who bagged "Influential Female Student of the Year" Award, while University of Uyo Student; Queen Esther Bassey bagged "Best Performing Students of The Year" Award.
