Due to the recent family tragedy, the planned Are We Africans Yet (A.W.A.Y.) Atlanta event has been postponed until November 2023.
On November 18, 2022, the 20,000-seat State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, was to host the "A.W.A.Y." festival.
The multi-award-winning megastar's performance would be supported by a number of other celebrities, including Mayorkun, Stonebwoy, BNXN, Kizz Daniel, Pheelz, Lojay, and others.
However, the festival has been postponed by a year and is now scheduled to take place on November 18, 2023, in light of the father's recent and tragic loss of his son Ifeanyi Adeleke.
In a statement yesterday announcing the postponement, management disclosed this information.
"We have
made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until
Saturday, November 18, 2023.
To all ticket buyers, your tickets
will be honored for the 2023 date. We understand that you must be disappointed
but we promise to come back with a bigger and better show.
Thank you for understanding and we
look forward to seeing you all in the near future."
