After releasing a teaser for her upcoming track, "Lift Me Up," Rihanna has caused a stir on social media.
The song is included in the soundtrack for the upcoming superhero movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
A brief teaser for the song was released by Rihanna, and it featured a huge "R" and the date "October 28th."
Lift me up 10.28.22, Rihanna wrote in the post's caption.
The song is Rihanna's first musical release after giving birth, and she couldn't have chosen better.
Together with Afrobeats musician Tems, Oscar and Grammy Award-winning producer Ludwig Göransson, and "BP" director Ryan Coogler, RiRi composed the song "Lift Me Up."
In association with Roc Nation, Def Jam Recordings, and Hollywood Records, the song will be released on her own Westbury Road label.
Tems stated: "I wanted to compose something that represents a warm embrace from all the people that I've lost in my life after chatting with Ryan and hearing his direction for the song and the movie. I made an effort to picture how it would feel to sing to them right now and let them know how much I miss them.
"To hear Rihanna transmit this song is a huge honor," she continued. "She has been an inspiration to me."
