The Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on
Entertainment Industry, Mr David Sergeant (Utang Akwa Ibom) will be paying a
courtesy visit to radio stations on Tuesday, June 21 to mark World Music Day
2022.
According to him, the radio has been a major contributor to
music promotion from time immemorial. The radio tour is inspired by the need to
celebrate the personalities who make music heard beyond the musicians' corners.
The visit is also to appreciate the efforts of the privately
owned radio stations who have come to spice up the airwaves in Akwa Ibom State.
'They are the real MVPs for believing in our state and our
industry, hence the decision to celebrate World Music Day by paying a courtesy
visit to encourage them to continually promote our local contents and make our
homegrown talents to be heard', the governor's aide said.
The stations to be visited are Redemption FM, Mixx FM,
Premium FM, Inspiration FM, XL FM and the state owned AKBC radio.
